Accommodation Terms
Tocumwal Chocolate School – Terms and Conditions
Children
Adults-only accommodation – 18 years and over.
Groups
We do not accept stag, hen, or group bookings.
Pets
We regret that we are unable to accept pets.
Non-Availability of Accommodation
We would only cancel your reservation if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. In such cases, we will attempt to offer alternative accommodation or provide a full refund. Our liability does not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival
Rooms are available from 3:00pm on the day of arrival. Please check in by 6:00pm unless prior arrangements are made. Failure to arrive or notify us by 6:00pm may result in a no-show status, and we reserve the right to re-let your room.
Unregistered Guests
All guests must register upon arrival. A fee of $150.00 per unregistered guest per night applies.
Departure
Check-out time is 10:00am unless otherwise agreed. A late check-out may incur an additional night’s fee. We are happy to store luggage for later departures.
Liability
Tocumwal Chocolate School accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to guest property unless secured by staff. Vehicles parked on site are at the owner’s risk.
Lost Property
Items left behind will be held for 14 days. Return postage is at the guest’s expense. We are not responsible for lost or unclaimed items after this period.
Privacy Policy
All personal information is handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations. Please refer to our website for full details.
Damage, Breakages & Cleaning
Guests are responsible for any damage, breakages, or spills (including on furniture or sofas). Please report incidents promptly. Charges may apply for repair, replacement, or excessive cleaning.
Damage or Excess Cleaning Fees
By booking, you authorize Tocumwal Chocolate School to charge your payment method for any damages, breakages, or excess cleaning that result from your stay. Charges will be itemized and communicated to you.
No Smoking or Vaping
Smoking and vaping are prohibited across the entire property. Guests in breach will be required to leave without refund and charged a $350 cleaning fee.
Guest Conduct, Quiet Hours & Facility Access
To ensure a peaceful experience for all:
- Quiet Hours: 11:00pm to 8:00am
- Please keep noise to a minimum during this time.
- Guests may use outdoor seating areas at any time, and indoor seating areas between 10:30am and 6:00pm.
- Guests may not access or use the school kitchen, catering facilities, or staff-only areas.
- Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour may result in removal without refund.
- A $150 disturbance or misuse fee may apply for violations.
The Butler’s Pantry – Not Self-Catering
The Butler’s Pantry is for light snack and meal preparation only. Cooking or the use of personal appliances (e.g., hot plates, BBQs) is strictly prohibited.
Hot Takeaway Food
To keep rooms fresh and clean, hot takeaway food must not be consumed in guest rooms. Please use the designated dining area. A cleaning fee may apply if this is disregarded.
Lagoon and Recreational Use
Guests use recreational areas, including the lagoon, at their own risk. Tocumwal Chocolate School accepts no liability for personal injury or property loss during use of these amenities.
Wi-Fi & Technology
Free Wi-Fi is provided for guest use. Guests must refrain from visiting illegal websites or excessive downloads. Devices should be turned off when unattended.
Security & Surveillance
For guest and staff safety, certain outdoor areas are monitored by CCTV. No cameras are installed in guest rooms or bathrooms.
Right to Refuse Service
Tocumwal Chocolate School reserves the right to refuse service or remove guests who are disruptive, disrespectful, or in violation of our terms. In such cases, no refunds will be issued, and future bookings may be declined.
Sustainability
We are committed to reducing our environmental impact. Please help by turning off lights and air conditioning when not in use, reusing towels when practical, and respecting the natural surrounds of our property.
Glamping-Specific Terms
- A $100 security deposit per tent is required on arrival.
- Cooking or flames are not permitted inside the tent.
- Excessive mud, vomit, or damage results in loss of deposit.
- Tents may not be moved or altered.
- We are not responsible for unattended valuables inside tents.
Payment Policy
Full payment is required at time of booking. A binding contract exists upon confirmation. Cancellation outside of policy terms does not release you from financial liability. Refunds are at the owner’s discretion in exceptional cases. A $100 refundable security deposit may be charged and returned within 7 days, less any deductions.
Payment of Accounts
All balances are payable on arrival via cash, credit, or debit card.
